Professor Michael Borg

Michael leads the Department of Infection Prevention at Mater Dei Hospital in Malta. He is a past chair of the International Federation of Infection Control (IFIC) and an expert to the European Centre for Disease Control (ECDC). An author of more than 150 publications, he has been included in Stanford University’s list of the top 2% scientists. His latest research interests focus on implementation of effective behaviour change strategies in IPC and antibiotic stewardship.
